"मी"च्या वेलांटीचा
सुटो सुटो फास
जीव कासावीस
सत्यासाठी

असं सहज लिहून जाणार्या विंदांची कविता ही जुन्याच्या आवरणात नव्याची सुनीते गाणारी अशी आहे. एकाचवेळी संवेदनशीलता, भावनोत्कटपणा आणि वैचारिक अधिष्ठान अशा तीन डगरींचा समतोल तीत सांभाळला गेला आहे. त्यात साधी भासणारी शब्दकळा, पण वैश्विक आशय घेऊन येते, कारण विंदांच्या जीवनात मार्क्सवाद आणि मानवतेला महत्वाचं स्थान होतं. त्यामुळेच,

स्वातंत्र्याला झाला
स्वार्थाचा हा क्षय
नागड्यांना न्याय
मिळेचना.
मानवांचे सारे
माकडांच्या हाती
कुलुपेंच खाती
अन्नधान्य
असे परखड भाष्य त्यांच्या कवितेत आढळते.
विज्ञानावर श्रद्धा दर्शवतानाच निष्क्रीय भक्तीवरच भाष्यही विंदांच्या कवितेत आढळतं. विंदांचे "आततायी अभंग" याबाबतीत खासच.

ज्यांनी सत्यज्ञान
वाढविले

धन्य पायथॅगोरस

दासा एक ज्ञान

आणि प्रयत्नवादाचा पुरस्कार करणार्या या ओळी -

सद्‌गुरुवाचोनी
सापडेल सोय
तेव्हा जन्म होय
धन्य धन्य

विंदांची कविता जीवनातील नावीन्याची ओढ व्यक्त करणारी आहेच,

संसाराच्या वडावर स्वप्नांची वटवाघुळे
त्या स्वप्नाचे शिल्पकार,
कवि थोडे कवडे फार
पडद्यावरच्या भूतचेष्टा;
शिळा शोक, बुळा बोध
नऊ धगे एक रंग,
व्यभिचाराचे सारे ढंग
पुन्हा पुन्हा तेच भोग
आसक्तीचा तोच रोग

पण तिला आसक्तीचेही वावडे नाही,

शपथ तुला अंगाची
अंगांतिल संगाची
शपथ तुला रेतीची
भिजलेल्या
शपथ तुला मेंदीची
हिरमुसल्या
शपथ नजरबंदीची
त्या पहिल्या धुंदीची

शपथ तुला तहानेची
शपथ तुला तृप्तीची
शपथ तुला
शपथ तुला
शपथ तुला सरतीची,
भरतीची.

या ओळी पण विंदाच लिहून जातात. विंदांची शब्दकळा कधी अगदी अनपेक्षित प्रतिमा समोर आणते -

धुक्यात उठले करपट शत्रू
धुक्यांत मिटले करपट मित्र

किंवा

सूख करपले ओठांवरती
आणि दु:खही, फक्त थुकीला
वास राहिला झालेल्याचा
फक्त्त स्मृतीची उरली लीला

किंवा

ओठांच्या काठांवर आहे
कुबड काढूनी बसला कोणी
दुडदुडणारे शब्द छबुकडे
लांब लांब नाकाने अडवित.

विंदांची "तालचित्रे" ही सुद्घा अनुभवण्याचीच गोष्ट आहे.

झपताल पहा -

ओचे बांधून पहांट उठते... तेव्हापासून झपझपा वावरत असतेस.
कुरकुरणाऱ्या पाळण्यांमधून दोन डोळे उमलू लागतात
आणि मग इवल्या इवल्या मोदकमुठींतून तुझ्या स्तनांवर
बाळसे चढते. उभे नेसून वावरत असतेस. तुझ्या पोतेऱ्याने
म्हातारी चूल पुन्हा एकदा लाल होते. आणि नंतर
उगवता सूर्य दोरीवरील तीन मुतेले वाळवू लागतो
म्हणून तो तुला हवा असतो! मधून मधून तुझ्या पायांमध्ये
माझी स्वप्ने मांजरासारखी लुडबुडत असतात, त्यांची मान
चिमटीत धरुन तू त्यांना बाजुला करतेस. तरीपण
चिऊ काऊच्या घासांमधला एक उरलेला घास त्यांनाही मिळतो.
तू घरभर भिरभिरत असतेस, लहान मोठ्या वस्तुंमध्‍ये
तुझी प्रतिबिंबे रेंगाळत असतात..स्वागतासाठी "सुहासिनी"असतेस,
वाढतांना "यक्षिणी"असतेस, भरवतांना "पक्षिणी" असतेस,
साठवतांना "संहिता" असतेस, भविष्‍याकरता "स्वप्नसती" असतेस.
....संसाराच्या दहा फुटी खोलीत दिवसाच्या चोवीस मात्रा
चपखल बसवणारी तुझी किमया मला अजूनही समजलेली नाही.

विंदांची बालगीते आणि ललितनिबंध हे तर त्या त्या साहित्यप्रकारातले मैलाचे दगडच आहेत.
ग्लोबलायझेशनचं नावही कुणी ऐकलं नसेल, अशा काळातच विंदांच्या दृष्ट्या प्रतिभेने आपल्या
कवितेतून ग्लोबलायझेशनचे मांडलेले चित्र पहा -
