'विरोधकांमध्येही आपल्याला अनेक चांगले मित्र आहेत,' असं सांगत पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदींनी विरोधी पक्षातील नेत्यांशी असलेले त्यांचे खेळीमेळीचं नातंही उलगडून सांगितलं. प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता अक्षय कुमारनं पंतप्रधानांची मुलाखत घेतली.
'पश्चिम बंगालच्या मुख्यमंत्री ममता बॅनर्जी या मला त्यांच्या पसंतीचे कुर्ते आणि मिठाई आवर्जून पाठवत असतात,' असं पंतप्रधानांनी या मुलाखतीत सांगितलं.
निवडणुकीच्या रणधुमाळीत राजकीय विषयांना जोर चढलेला असतानाच पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदींनी निवडणूका, राजकारण या सगळ्यांपासून फारकत घेणारी मुलाखत दिली. मुलाखत अराजकीय असल्यामुळं ती घेणारी व्यक्तीही राजकारणापासून लांब असलेलीच निवडण्यात आली.
अभिनेता अक्षय कुमारनं पंतप्रधानांची मुलाखत घेत तुम्ही आंबे खाता का इथपासून तुम्ही रागावर ताबा कसा मिळवता, तुमच्या खात्यात किती पैसे आहेत असे अनेक हलकेफुलके प्रश्न विचारले.
पंतप्रधानांनी सर्वच प्रश्नांना हसतखेळत उत्तरं दिली. विरोधकांवर कडवी टीका करणाऱ्या पंतप्रधानांनी वैयक्तिक आयुष्यात आपले अनेकांशी मैत्रीपूर्ण संबंध असल्याचा खुलासा केला.
"मी जेव्हा गुजरातचा मुख्यमंत्रीही नव्हतो, तेव्हा काही कामासाठी संसदेत आलो होतो. त्यावेळी मला गुलाम नबी आझाद भेटले. त्यांच्याशी माझ्या खूप छान गप्पा झाल्या. आम्ही दोघं जेव्हा बाहेर आलो, तेव्हा पत्रकारांनी विचारलं, की संघाची पार्श्वभूमी असतानाही तुम्ही गुलाम नबी आझादांशी मैत्री कशी ठेवू शकता. त्यावेळी गुलाम नबी आझादांनी फार सुंदर उत्तर दिलं होतं. तुम्हाला बाहेरून जसं चित्र दिसतं तसं नाहीये. आम्ही वेगवेगळ्या पक्षातील लोक एखाद्या कुटुंबाप्रमाणे कसे जोडलेले असतो, त्याची कल्पना बाहेरून येणार नाही, असं गुलाम नबी आझादांनी म्हटलं होतं."

अगदी सुरूवातीपासूनच कट्टर विरोधक असलेल्या ममता बॅनर्जींबद्दलही मोदींनी असाच एक खुलासा केला. "ममता दीदी आजही मला त्यांनी स्वतः निवडलेले एक-दोन कुर्ते भेट देतात. बांगलादेशच्या पंतप्रधान शेख हसीना मला वर्षातून तीन-चार वेळा ढाक्याहून मिठाई पाठवतात. जेव्हा ममता दीदींना हे समजलं तेव्हा त्यांनीही मला मिठाई पाठवायला सुरूवात केली," असं सांगून मोदींनी राजकारणाच्या पलिकडेही व्यक्तिगत संबंध असू शकतात हे स्पष्ट केलं.
पंतप्रधानांना आवडतात आंबे
'मी माझ्या ड्रायव्हरच्या मुलीला विचारलं, की तुला पंतप्रधानांना कोणता प्रश्न विचारायला आवडेल. तिनं विचारलं- पंतप्रधानांना आंबे खायला आवडतं का? त्यांना कोणतं आंबे आवडतात आणि ते आंबे कसे खातात?' असं अक्षय कुमारनं पंतप्रधानांना विचारलं.
आंबे खायला मला आवडतात, असं सांगून पंतप्रधानंनी आपल्या लहानपणीच्या आठवणींना उजाळा दिला. लहानपणी मी शेतांमध्ये जायचो. झाडांवर पिकलेले आंबे खायला मला खूप आवडायचं. कृत्रिमरित्या पिकवलेले आंबे खायला मला कधीच आवडलं नाही.
राग आल्यावर काय करतात मोदी?
तुम्हाला कधी राग येत नाही का आणि राग आल्यावर तुम्ही तो व्यक्त कसा करता असा प्रश्न अक्षयनं पंतप्रधानांना विचारला.
या प्रश्नाला उत्तर देताना पंतप्रधानांनी म्हटलं, की मला राग येत नाही, हे सांगितल्यावर अनेकांना आश्चर्य वाटतं. या भावना मानवी मनाचा भाग आहेत. प्रत्येकाच्याच आयुष्यात या भावना असतात. पण तारूण्यात माझं जे काही प्रशिक्षण झालं, त्यात भावभावनांवर नियंत्रण कसं मिळवायचं यावर भर दिला गेला.
"मी इतकी वर्षं गुजरातचा मुख्यमंत्री होतो. मी तेव्हाही अगदी शिपायापासून मुख्य सचिवापर्यंत कोणावरही राग काढला नाही," असं त्यांनी सांगितलं.
"शिस्तप्रिय आहे. पण कोणाला कमी दाखवून मी काम करत नाही. मदत करतो. मी शिकत आणि शिकवत काम करतो. माझी टीम तयार करतो. कदाचित त्यामुळे माझ्यावरचा दबाव, राग विभागला जात असेल. माझ्या मनात राग असेल, पण मी तो व्यक्त न करणं शिकलो आहे."
ट्विंकल खन्नाच्या ट्वीट्सवरही भाष्य
या मुलाखतीत सोशल मीडियाचाही विषय निघाला. सोशल मीडियाच्या माध्यमातून मला बाहेरच्या जगात काय चाललंय याची माहिती मिळते, असं मोदींनी म्हटलं. "मी तुमचे आणि ट्विंकल खन्नांचेही ट्वीट आवर्जून पाहत असतो. त्या त्यांचा सगळा राग ट्विटरच्या माध्यमातून माझ्यावरच काढतात, असं दिसतं. त्यामुळं तुमच्या घरात शांतता नांदत असेल. त्यांचा राग माझ्यावर निघत असल्यानं तुम्ही निवांत राहत असाल. एका अर्थानं माझी तुम्हाला मदतच होते," असं म्हणत त्यांनी अक्षय कुमारला कोपरखळ्याही मारल्या.
पंतप्रधानांच्या या टिप्पणीवर ट्विंकल खन्नांनी तातडीनं ट्वीट करून आपलीही प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त केली. मी याकडे खूप सकारात्मक दृष्टिनं पाहते. पंतप्रधानांनी माझी दखल घेतलीच, पण त्यापलिकडे जाऊन त्यांनी माझं लिखाणही वाचलं आहे, असं ट्वीट ट्विंकल खन्नांनी केलं.
