पूर्ण देशात या दशकातलं अखेरचं सूर्यग्रहण पाहण्यासाठी लगबग सुरू असताना पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदीही दिल्लीत आभाळाकडे डोळे लावून बसले होते. त्यांनी ट्वीट केलेल्या स्वतःच्या या फोटोची मात्र अनेकांनी टिंगल उडवली.

हा फोटो ट्वीट करताना मोदींनी लिहिलं, "अनेक भारतीयांप्रमाणे मीही सूर्यग्रहणाविषयी उत्साही होतो. पण दुर्दैवाने ढगाळ वातावरणामुळे सूर्य दिसला नाही. मी मग कोळीकोड आणि इतर भागांमधलं ग्रहण लाईव्ह स्ट्रीमवर पाहिलं आणि तज्ज्ञांशी संवाद साधून माझं ज्ञान वाढवलं."

यावेळी मोदींनी तज्ज्ञांसोबत चर्चेचा आणि लाईव्ह स्ट्रीम टीव्हीवर पाहतानाचे फोटोही ट्वीट केले. पण हातात ग्रहण पाहायचा चष्मा धरून काळ्या रंगाचा गॉगल लावून आभाळाकडे पाहणारे मोदी चर्चेचा विषय ठरले.

अनेकांनी मोदी स्टाईल मारत असल्याचं म्हटलं तर काहींनी देशाला ग्रहण लागलंय, असं म्हटलं. हा सोशल मीडियावर विनोदाचा विषय झाल्याचं पाहिल्यामवर मग मोदींनी दुसरं ट्वीट करून म्हटलं की हा विनोदाचा विषय झाला, याचं "मी स्वागत करतो. लोकांनी आनंद घ्यावा."

मग या विषयावर शेकडो मीम्स तयार झाले आणि ते सोशल मीडियावर पसरू लागले. दिल्लीतच्या थंडीत मफलर लावलेल्या अमित शहांचा फोटो कुणी मोदींच्या या फोटोवर चिकटवला.

एका प्रतिभावंताने मोदी रस्त्यावर चष्मा विकत घेत आहेत, असं दाखवलं.

कार्टूनिस्ट अलोक यांनी यावर ताबडतोब एक व्यंगचित्रही चितारलं.

पत्रकार राहुल खिचडींनी म्हटलं, "जे न देखे रवि, ते देखे मोदी."

तर अनेकांनी दावा केला की हा चष्मा दीड ते दोन लाख रुपयांचा आहे. काही दिवसांपूर्वीच पंतप्रधान मोदींनी म्हटलं होतं की CAA-NRC विरोधात निदर्शनं करणारे कपड्यांवरून ओळखता येतात. स्वतःला फकीर म्हणवणारे मोदी एवढे महागडे कपडे कसे घालतात, असा प्रश्न काहींनी विचारला.

या मीम्समध्ये बॉलीवुड आलं नसतं तरच नवल.

मग यात राजकीय विरोधक कसे मागे राहतील? मध्य प्रदेश काँग्रेसच्या कुणाल चौधरींनी म्हटलं क महागडा चष्मा लावून ग्रहण पाहण्यापेक्षा घसरत्या अर्थव्यवस्थेकडे पाहिलं असतं तर चांगलं झालं असतं.
