जागतिक छायाचित्रण दिन : जगाचं लक्ष वेधून घेणारी ही सात छायाचित्रं तुम्ही पाहिली आहेत का?

फोटो काढायला कुणाला आवडत नाही? आपण जगलेले अविस्मरणीय क्षण कॅमेऱ्यात कैद करत असतो. पुढील काळात हेच फोटो आठवणींच्या स्वरूपात आपले कायमचे सोबती बनून राहतात. हे फोटो पाहताना जुने दिवस पुन्हा जगल्याची एक वेगळीच भावना आपल्या मनात निर्माण होते.

ज्या सर्वामुळे हे सर्व शक्य झालं, त्या छायाचित्रण कलेच्या इतिहासाला स्मरण्यासाठीच 19 ऑगस्ट हा दिवस जागतिक छायाचित्रण दिन म्हणून साजरा करण्यात येतो.

या निमित्ताने जगाचं लक्ष वेधून घेणारे काही फोटो बीबीसी मराठीच्या वाचकांसाठी आम्ही आणले आहेत.

1. तियाननमेन स्क्वेअरचा टँक मॅन

1989 ला चीनची राजधानी बिजिंगमधल्या तियाननमेन स्क्वेअरमध्ये हा जगप्रसिद्ध फोटो काढण्यात आला होता. त्यावेळी चीनमध्ये लोकशाहीच्या समर्थनार्थ निदर्शनं सुरू होती. जमावाला पांगवण्यासाठी चीनच्या लष्कराने बळाचा वापर केला. त्यात हजारो लोकांचा बळी गेला होता.

त्याच दरम्यान छायाचित्रकार चार्ली कोल यांनी चीनच्या तियाननमेन स्क्वेअरमध्ये हा जगप्रसिद्ध फोटो काढला होता.

रणगाड्यांच्या रांगांसमोर एकटा माणूस तत्कालीन सरकारचा निषेध करताना या फोटोत दिसत आहे. पुढे हा फोटोच या आंदोलनाचा चेहरा बनला. या फोटोला टँकमॅन असं संबोधण्यात आलं.

कोल यांच्या या फोटोला 1990 सालचा वर्ल्ड प्रेस फोटोग्राफी अवॉर्ड देण्यात आला होता.

2. अजमल कसाबचा फोटो

2008 मध्ये 26/11 च्या हल्ल्यादरम्यान CSMT स्टेशनवर फोटोग्राफर सॅबॅस्टियन डिसुझा यांनी हा फोटो काढला होता.

कसाबचा तो फोटो पुढे कोर्टात त्याच्याविरुद्धच्या खटल्यात महत्त्वाचा पुरावा ठरला. त्या फोटोंचं ऐतिहासिक महत्त्व पाहता, त्याचा 2009 सालच्या वर्षाच्या वर्ल्ड प्रेस फोटोंच्या मानद यादीत समावेश करण्यात आला.

3. गुजरात दंगल

हा फोटोसुद्धा फोटोग्राफर सबॅस्टियन डिसुझा यांनीच गुजरातमध्ये काढला होता.

2002 साली जेव्हा गुजरातमध्ये हिंसाचार सुरू होता तेव्हा डिसुझा AFP वृत्तसंस्थेसाठी काम करत होते. त्यांनी त्यावेळी टिपलेला हा फोटो गुजरात दंगलींची ओळख बनला.

4. हिरोशिमा-नागासाकी अणुबॉम्ब हल्ला

दुसऱ्या महायुद्धादरम्यान अमेरिकेने जपानच्या हिरोशिमा आणि नागासाकी या दोन शहरांवर अणुबॉम्ब हल्ला केला होता. त्यावेळी जपानमधील नरसंहाराचे अनेक फोटो विविध वृत्तपत्रांमध्ये प्रसिद्ध झाले होते.

हा फोटोसुद्धा त्यापैकीच एक. हल्ल्यानंतर हिरोशिमा शहर अशा प्रकारे उद्ध्वस्त झालं होतं. फोटोत दिसणारी घुमटाकार इमारत हल्ल्यानंतरही बऱ्यापैकी शाबूत राहिली. या इमारतीला आता अणु बॉम्ब स्मृतिस्थळ बनवण्यात आलं आहे. युनेस्कोने या इमारतीला जागतिक वारसास्थळ घोषित केलं आहे.

5. अयलान कुर्दी

स्थलांतरितांच्या बोटीमधून प्रवास करत युरोपात प्रवेश करण्याच्या प्रयत्नात समुद्रात बुडून मरण पावलेल्या अयलान कुर्दी या बालकाचा हा फोटो. आजही हा फोटो पाहिल्यानंतर अनेकांच्या डोळ्यात पाणी येतं.

तुर्कस्तानच्या समुद्रकिनाऱ्यावर तीन वर्षीय अयलानचा मृतदेह पालथा पडलेला होता. स्थलांतरितांच्या बिकट परिस्थितीचं गांभीर्य या फोटोमधून लक्षात येईल. हा फोटोच पुढे स्थलांतरितांच्या दुःखाचं प्रतीक बनला आहे. (पण हा फोटो इथं न वापरण्याचा निर्णय बीबीसीने घेतला आहे)

6. कृष्णविवर

कृष्णविवराचा जगातील पहिला फोटो म्हणून या फोटोची ओळख आहे. विज्ञानाचा चमत्कार म्हणूनच या फोटोकडे पाहिलं जातं.

कृष्णविवराचं हे छायाचित्र तयार करण्यासाठी अंटार्क्टिका ते चिलीपर्यंत वेगवेगळ्या ठिकाणी दुर्बिणी ठेवून त्यांनी टिपलेल्या प्रतीमा एकत्र करून हे छायाचित्र तयार करण्यात आलं आहे. या कामी दोनशेहून अधिक शास्त्रज्ञांनी हातभार लावला आहे.

इव्हेन्ट हॉरिझॉन दुर्बिणीने (EHT) हे छायाचित्र काढलं आहे. EHT ही एक दुर्बिण नसून आठ दुर्बिणींचा संच आहे. या आठही दुर्बिणींमध्ये कृष्णविवराची जी प्रतिमा टिपण्यात आली, तिला डॉ. केटी ब्युमनच्या अल्गोरिदमने रेंडर करण्यात आलं.

7. पेल ब्ल्यू डॉट

या फोटोला अंतराळातील सर्वोत्तम फोटोंपैकी एक मानलं जातं. यामध्ये दिसणारा पांढरा लहान ठिपका ही आपली पृथ्वी आहे. हा फोटो तीस वर्षांपूर्वी वोयेजर 1 यानाने घेतला होता.

सहा अब्ज किलोमीटर अंतरावरून हा फोटो घेण्यात आलेला आहे. नासा अजूनही या फोटोच्या संदर्भात विविध प्रकारचं संशोधन करत आहे. नुकतीच या फोटोची सुधारित आवृत्ती लोकांसमोर ठेवण्यात आली होती.
