श्रीलंकेत झालेल्या साखळी बॉम्बस्फोटांप्रकरणी पोलिसांनी बुरखाधारी व्यक्तीला अटक केल्याचा व्हीडिओ सोशल मीडियावर व्हायरल झाला आहे. काय आहे नेमकं सत्य?

श्रीलंकेतील साखळी हल्ल्यांप्रकरणी पोलिसांनी एका बुद्धधर्मीय माणसाला अटक केल्याचा कथित व्हीडिओ व्हायरल होतो आहे. बॉम्बस्फोटात त्याचा हात असल्याचा आरोप आहे. आठ हल्ल्यांमध्ये तीनशेहून अधिकजणांनी जीव गमावला होता.

श्रीलंकेतील यादवी संपुष्टात आल्यानंतरचा म्हणजेच गेल्या दशकभरातला हा सगळ्यात भयंकर जीवितहानी झालेला हल्ला आहे. बुद्धधर्मीय भासवणाऱ्या मुस्लिम महिलेला पोलिसांनी अटक केली आहे असं या व्हीडिओच्या तपशीलात म्हटलं आहे. चर्चमध्ये हल्ला याच व्यक्तीने घडवला असा आरोप आहे.

फेसबुक आणि ट्वीटरवर हजारो माणसांनी हा व्हीडिओ पाहिला आहे, शेअर केला आहे. आमच्या व्हॉट्सअॅप वाचकांनी या व्हीडिओची सत्यासत्यता पडताळण्यासाठी हा व्हीडिओ आमच्याकडे पाठवला.

पडताळणीत हा व्हीडिओ जुना असल्याचं आमच्या लक्षात आलं. नुकत्याच झालेल्या साखळी बॉम्बस्फोटांशी या व्हीडिओचा काहीही संबंध नाही. गेल्या काही वर्षात श्रीलंकेत बहुसंख्य सिंहली बुद्धधर्मीय आणि मुस्लीम समाज यांच्यातले संबंध ताणले गेले आहेत. मार्च महिन्यात सिंहली समाजाने दिगाना शहरातील मुस्लीम समाजाची दुकानं आणि मशिदी यांच्यावर हल्ला केला होता. बुद्धाच्या पुतळ्यांची नासधूस केल्याच्या बातम्या गेल्या काही वर्षांमध्ये प्रसिद्ध झाल्या होत्या. त्यामुळे लोकांनी त्यासंदर्भात हा व्हीडिओ शेअर केला आहे.

हल्ल्याप्रकरणी श्रीलंकेच्या पोलिसांचा तपास सुरू आहे. श्रीलंका सरकारने या हल्ल्यासाठी स्थानिक इस्लामी गट नॅशनल तोहीद जमातला जबाबदार धरलं आहे. हल्ल्याप्रकरणी पोलिसांनी 40 संशयितांना ताब्यात घेतलं आहे. हे सर्वजण श्रीलंकेचे नागरिक आहेत.

मात्र स्थानिक पातळीवरील व्यक्तींकडून हा हल्ला झालेला नाही असं मत श्रीलंकेचे पंतप्रधान रनिल विक्रमसिंघे यांनी व्यक्त केलं आहे. दरम्यान इस्लामिक स्टेट संघटनेनं मंगळवारी या हल्ल्याची जबाबदारी स्वीकारली. मात्र त्यांनी थेट सहभागाविषयी कोणतेही पुरावे दिले नाहीत.

व्हीडिओचं सत्य

36 सेकंदांच्या या व्हीडिओत पोलीस बुरखाधारी व्यक्तीची चौकशी करताना दिसत आहेत. रिव्हर्स इमेज सर्च केल्यानंतर, हा व्हीडिओ श्रीलंकेतील स्थानिक प्रसारमाध्यम नेथ न्यूजने 29 मार्च 2018 रोजी शेअर केला आहे. प्रसारमाध्यमांमध्ये आलेल्या वृत्तानुसार, कोलंबोनजीकच्या राजगिरिया परिसरातून या व्यक्तीला अटक करण्यात आली आहे. बुरखाधारी व्यक्तीला वेलिकाडा प्लाझा पब्लिक शॉपिंग कॉम्प्लेक्स जवळ थ्रीव्हिलरने आल्यानंतर अटक करण्यात आली. थ्रीव्हीलरचा चालकाच्या हालचाली संशयास्पद वाटल्याने पोलिसांना कळवण्यात आलं.

श्रीलंकेतील एक्स्प्रेस न्यूज वेबसाईटने नेथ न्यूजच्या हवाल्याने यासंदर्भात बातमी दिली आहे. नेथ न्यूजचंच नेथ एफएम, या नावाचं फेसबुक पेज आहे. त्यावर चुकीच्या दाव्यासह व्हीडिओ शेअर केला जात असल्याचं 22 एप्रिल 2018 रोजी स्पष्ट करण्यात आलं. क्लॅरिफेकिशऩ असं आहे- सावध रहा. इंटरनेटवर फिरत असलेला व्हीडिओ 29 ऑगस्ट 2018 रोजी प्रसिद्ध करण्यात आला आहे.
