सध्या राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस पक्षाची जोरदार चर्चा सुरू आहे. पक्षाध्यक्ष शरद पवारांनी केलेली ईडी प्रकरणाची हाताळणी, अजित पवारांचा राजीनामा आणि त्यांनी घेतलेली पत्रकार परिषद या सगळ्या गोष्टींमुळे राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचा सर्वसामान्य कार्यकर्ता रिचार्ज झाल्याचं चित्र आहे.
मोठ्या नेत्यांच्या जाण्यामुळे हवालदिल झालेले तळागाळातील कार्यकर्ते यामुळे पुन्हा एकदा जोमाने कामाला लागले आहेत. अशा स्थितीत आगामी विधानसभा निवडणुकीत राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचा बालेकिल्ला म्हणून ओळखल्या जाणाऱ्या पश्चिम महाराष्ट्र विभागात पक्षाची कामगिरी कशी राहील, याकडे सगळ्यांचं लक्ष आहे.
महाराष्ट्राच्या राजकारणात बहुतांश काळ पश्चिम महाराष्ट्रच सत्तेचं केंद्र राहिला. 2014च्या मोदी लाटेत भारतीय जनता पक्ष महाराष्ट्रात सत्तेत आल्यानंतर मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी महसूल मंत्री चंद्रकांत पाटील यांना हाताशी धरून या भागावर लक्ष केंद्रित केलं. 2019च्या लोकसभा निवडणुकीदरम्यान अनेक मोठ्या नेत्यांना भाजपमध्ये आणण्यात फडणवीस-पाटील जोडी यशस्वी ठरली.
लोकसभा निवडणुकीत पुन्हा भाजप विजयी झाल्यानंतर या भागातील राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे नेते रांगा लावून भाजप प्रवेशासाठी उभे होते. भाजपच्या मेगाभरतीमुळे जागी झालेल्या शिवसेनेनेही वाहत्या गंगेत हात धुवून घेतले. त्यामुळे राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचा चेहरा म्हणून ओळखले जाणारे अनेक नेते भाजप-शिवसेनेच्या तंबूत दिसू लागले.
पवारांनी पक्षाला पुन्हा उभारी देण्याचा प्रयत्न सुरू केला आहे असं जाणकार सांगतात. पवारांनी आखलेल्या डावपेचांच्या बळावर पश्चिम महाराष्ट्रात हा पक्ष पुन्हा मुसंडी मारू शकेल किंवा नाही याचा उत्तर शोधण्याचा हा प्रयत्न.

'अमित शहा यांना लक्ष्य करणं फायद्याचं ठरलं'
राजकीय अभ्यासक प्रकाश पवार सांगतात, "अमित शहांनी शरद पवारांना आव्हान दिलं होतं. त्याला प्रत्युत्तर शरद पवारांनी सातत्याने अमित शहांना टार्गेट केलं. मी कधीच तुरुंगात गेलो नाही. महाराष्ट्र दिल्लीपुढे झुकणार नाही, या वक्तव्यातून त्यांनी सूचक संदेश दिला. यातून शरद पवारांनी सकारात्मक संदेश दिला."
"महाराष्ट्र विरुद्ध दिल्ली किंवा महाराष्ट्र विरुद्ध गुजरात ही पवारांची खेळी अमित शहांच्या लक्षात आला नाही. या सगळ्यातून महाराष्ट्राची अस्मिता जागृत करण्याची भूमिका शरद पवारांनी घेतली. या सगळ्यांतून कार्यकर्त्यामध्ये नवा जोश नक्कीच आला आहे," पवार सांगतात.
कोल्हापूर जिल्ह्यात भाजपने विरोधकांचं आव्हान मोडून काढण्यासाठी प्रयत्न केल्याचं कोल्हापूर 'महाराष्ट्र टाइम्स'चे मुख्य उप-संपादक राहुल जाधव सांगतात.
"धनंजय महाडिक हे कोल्हापूरचे उमेदवार होते आता ते भाजपमध्ये गेले. तर उदयनराजे हे साताऱ्याचे खासदार होते. ते राजीनामा देऊन भाजपमध्ये गेले. नेते चालल्यामुळे पक्षाला मरगळ आली होती. भाजप नेते चंद्रकांत पाटील यांनी गेल्या पाच वर्षांत इथली राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस उखडून काढण्यासाठी संपूर्ण प्रयत्न केले," असं जाधव सांगतात.
ईडीच्या प्रकरणाचा परिणाम
शरद पवारांनी ईडी प्रकरण योग्यरीत्या हाताळल्याचं ज्येष्ठ पत्रकार अद्वैत मेहता सांगतात.
"शरद पवारांनी ईडी प्रकरण हे आलं अंगावर आणि घेतलं शिंगावर अशा पद्धतीने हाताळलं. शरद पवार चतुर राजकारणी आहेत. संचालक म्हणून याच्याशी कोणताही संबंध नाही, त्यामुळे माझा संबंध नसताना राजकीय हेतूने प्रेरित आरोप लावण्यात आले आहेत, असं पटवून देण्यात ते यशस्वी ठरले," मेहता सांगतात.
भाजपच्या मतदारांमध्येसुद्धा या विषयावर दोन गट पडले. शरद पवारांना असा त्रास दिला जाणं हे अनेकांना खटकल्याचा मेहता सांगतात.
'निवडणूक रंगतदार होईल'
अद्वैत मेहता सांगतात, "काही दिवसांपूर्वी निवडणूक निरस होईल अशी शक्यता वाटत होती. त्यांना टक्कर देण्यासाठी कुणी सक्षम आहे किंवा नाही असं वाटत होतं. पण आता निवडणूक रंगतदार होऊ शकते. गेल्या काही दिवसांत शरद पवार आणि राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसला टीआरपी बराच मिळाला. अगदी मोदींचं भाषणही झाकोळलं गेलं. पण त्यांच्या नेमक्या किती जागा येतील. मतपेटीत किती फरक पडेल याबाबत आताच सांगू शकत नाही."
या प्रकरणामुळे राष्ट्रवादीला फायदा होऊ शकतो असा अंदाज प्रकाश पवार यांनी लावला.
"केवळ पश्चिम महाराष्ट्रच नव्हे तर राज्यात सर्वत्र त्यांना फायदा होऊ शकतो. सध्या त्यांना राज्यात 50 पर्यंत जागा मिळण्याचा अंदाज आहे. त्यांनी आणखी जोर लावल्यास त्यांना जास्तीत जास्त 70 पर्यंत जागा जिंकता येऊ शकतात," असं प्रकाश पवार सांगतात.
"अजून युतीचं ठरलेलं नाही. काँग्रेस-राष्ट्रवादी वेगळी आणि युती एकत्र लढलेलं आपण पाहिलं आहे. सगळेच पक्ष वेगवेगळे लढलेलंही पाहिलं आहे. पण आघाडी एकत्र आणि युती वेगळी अशी निवडणूक कधीच झालेली नाही. त्यामुळे युतीच्या होण्यावरही बरीच समीकरणं अवलंबून असतील," असं मेहता सांगतात.
परिस्थिती कठीणच
"कार्यकर्ते रिचार्ज झाले हे खरं असलं तरी याचा पूर्णपणे राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसला होऊ शकतो, असं नाही. शरद पवारांचा संघर्ष सुरू असताना अचानकच अजित पवारांनी दिलेल्या राजीनाम्यामुळे कार्यकर्त्यांमध्ये संभ्रमावस्था निर्माण झाली होती. यामुळे शरद पवारांना मिळालेलं यश राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस पक्षाला कॅश करता आलं नाही. ठराविक पट्ट्यात त्यांना थोडाफार फायदा होईल. संपूर्ण पारडं राष्ट्रवादीकडेच फिरेल अशी सध्यातरी शक्यता नाही," असं राहुल जाधव यांना वाटतं.
अजित पवारांचा राजीनामा यातला महत्त्वाचा फॅक्टर ठरणार असल्याचं अद्वैत मेहता यांनाही वाटतं. शरद पवार लढत असताना अचानक अजित पवारांनी फुग्याला टाचणी लावण्यासारखं कृत्य केलं. त्याबाबत नंतर स्पष्टीकरण देण्यात आलं असलं तरी ईडीविरुद्धच्या यशावर त्याचा नकारात्मक परिणाम होऊ शकतो, असं अद्वैत मेहता सांगतात.
