देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी मुख्यमंत्रिपदाचा आणि अजित पवार यांनी उपमुख्यमंत्रिपदाचा राजीनामा दिला. त्यामुळं अवघ्या साडेतीन दिवसात महाराष्ट्रातील नवं सरकार कोसळलं.

23 नोव्हेंबरला सकाळी साडेसात-आठ वाजण्याच्या सुमारास शपथविधी करून देवेंद्र फडणवीस आणि अजित पवार यांनी राज्यासह देशात राजकीय भूकंप घडवला.

मात्र त्यानंतर अजित पवार यांच्यासोबत गेलेले राष्ट्रवादीचे आमदार एक-एक करून परतू लागले आणि बहुमताचे आकडे जुळवण्यात भाजपसमोरील अडचणी वाढू लागल्या. पर्यायानं साडेतीन दिवसातच सरकार कोसळलं.

देशभरात सत्तेच्या आकड्यांची जुळवाजुळव करण्यात तरबेज मानल्या जाणाऱ्या भाजपनं महाराष्ट्रात फडणवीसांचा शपथविधीही पूर्ण केला. कुठल्याही नियोजित योजनेविना भाजपसारखा मोठा पक्ष पावलं उचलणार नाही, हे अधोरेखित होतं. त्यामुळे भाजपकडे असा नेमका कोणता मेगाप्लॅन होता आणि असेल तर तो का फसला, याचा आढावा बीबीसी मराठीनं घेतला.

सकाळ डिजिटल'चे संपादक सम्राट फडणीस यांनी बीबीसी मराठीशी बोलताना सांगितलं, "अजित पवारांनी तिकीट दिलं आणि तो उमेदवार जिंकून आला, असे पश्चिम महाराष्ट्र आणि मराठवाड्यात अनेकजण आहेत. त्यांची संख्या किती आहे, हे नेमके सांगता येणार नाही. मात्र अजित पवारांचा गट गेली दहा-बारा वर्षे आहेच. त्यामुळे अजित पवार नाराज असून त्यांचा गट मोठा असेल, असं भाजपनं गृहीत धरलं असावं."

"अजित पवार फुटतील, ही खात्री भाजपला होती. कारण महिनाभर आधी 27 सप्टेंबरला अजित पवारांनी आमदारकीचा राजीनामा दिला होता. त्यामुळं अजित पवार नाराज आहेत आणि ते स्ट्राँग लिडरही आहेत, हे भाजपच्या लक्षात आलं होतं," असं फडणीस यांनी म्हटलं.

अजित पवारांना थांबवण्यात अपयश?

किंबहुना, देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी मुख्यमंत्रिपदाचा राजीनामा देण्यासाठी आयोजित पत्रकार परिषदेतही याबाबत सूचक भाष्य केलं.

या पत्रकार परिषदेत बोलताना फडणवीस यांनी म्हटलं होतं, की महाराष्ट्रात किती काळ राष्ट्रपती राजवट राहील, अशी परिस्थिती असताना राष्ट्रवादीचे गटनेते अजित पवार यांनी आम्हाला सत्तास्थापनेसाठी सहकार्य करण्याचं ठरवलं. त्यांच्याशी चर्चा केली आणि त्यानंतर त्यांनी पत्र दिलं. त्या आधारावर आम्ही सरकार स्थापन केलं. मात्र, सरकार स्थापन करायचं असताना अजित पवार यांनी भेटून सांगितलं, की काही कारणास्तव या युतीत मी राहू शकत नाही. त्यांनी राजीनामा माझ्याकडे सुपूर्द केला. त्यांचा राजीनामा आल्यानं आमच्याकडे बहुमत उरलेलं नाही.

मग अजित पवारांना थांबवून ठेवण्यात भाजपला यश का आलं नाही, असा स्वाभाविक प्रश्न यानंतर उभा राहतो. याबाबत राजकीय विश्लेषक प्रताप थोरात सांगतात, "अजित पवारांना भाजपकडे आणण्याचं ऑपरेशन पूर्वनियोजित दिसत नाही. अजित पवारांचे 25-27 आमदार आले असते, तरच हे ऑपरेशन यशस्वी होणार होतं. एवढ्या लोकांची तजवीज न करता, 10-12 आमदारांच्या भरवशावर अजित पवार भाजपकडे गेले. त्यामुळं हे ऑपरेशन फेल झालं."

मात्र, सम्राट फडणीस यांचं निरीक्षण वेगळं आहे. ते म्हणतात, "शरद पवार हे उद्धव ठाकरे आणि काँग्रेससोबत इतक्या ताकदीनं उभे राहतील, असा अंदाज अजित पवारांना नसावा. त्यामुळं अजित पवारांना सोडून आलेले परत त्यांना विचारायलाही गेले नाहीत. शरद पवारांचं कोण ऐकेल, आधीच अनेकजण पक्ष सोडून चाललेत, तिकडे शिवसेना-काँग्रेस फुटेल, असं अजित पवारांनी गृहित धरलं असावं. मात्र, प्रत्यक्षात शरद पवार ताकदीनं उभे राहिले."

भाजपचा 'प्लॅन बी' तयार होता?

अजित पवारांच्या भरवश्यावरच भाजपनं सरकार स्थापनेसाठी पावलं उचलताना भाजपनं आणखी काही बॅकअप प्लॅन तयार ठेवले असतील का, याचं उत्तर महाराष्ट्राचे माजी मुख्यमंत्री आणि भाजपचे विद्यामान खासदार नारायण राणे यांनी 23 नोव्हेंबर रोजी बीबीसी मराठीला दिलेल्या मुलाखतीतच दिलं होतं.

बीबीसी मराठीच्या मुलाखतीत बोलताना नारायण राणेंनी म्हटलं होतं, "आजही शिवसेना आणि काँग्रेसचे लोक आमच्या संपर्कात आहेत. याचा अर्थ असा नाहीये, की नुसते अजित पवारच संपर्कात होते. अनेक पक्षांचे लोक संपर्कात होते. त्यांना हॉटेलमध्ये बंद करून ठेवलंय. पण हे किती दिवस ठेवू शकतील? काही लोक काँग्रेस-शिवसेनेत राहणारच नाहीत."
