“वुमन इन म्युझिक इन इंडिया मधील पहिला कार्यक्रम आयोजित करणे हा माझा सन्मान आहे. डब्ल्यूआयएम टीम ही एक पॉवरहाऊस संस्था आहे ज्यात सर्वसमावेशक सदस्यता असून बहुपक्षीय पार्श्वभूमीवरील महिलांचा समावेश आहे.

2६ ऑगस्ट रोजी वुमन इन म्युझिक, इंडियाच्या उद्घाटन कार्यक्रमास अधिकृतपणे या राष्ट्रीय शाखेच्या कार्यवाहीला हिरवा झेंडा दाखविला गेला. या कार्यक्रमाला उपस्थित असलेल्या पाहुण्यांमध्ये शालमाली खोलगडे, नीती मोहन, सुकृति कक्कर, प्रकृति कक्कर, हर्षदीप कौर आदितीसिंग शर्मा आणि जोनिता गांधी यांच्यासारख्या नामांकित कलाकारांचा समावेश होता. या कार्यक्रमात युनिव्हर्सल म्युझिक, सोनी म्युझिक, इंडी म्युझिक, केडब्ल्यूएएन, नेटफ्लिक्स, वॉर्नर म्युझिक ग्रुप, सावन, रेड एफएम आणि काही कंपन्यांसह संगीत उद्योगातील दिग्गज उपस्थित होते.

संगीतात भारतमधील महिला सध्या व्यवसाय, माध्यम आणि सर्जनशील कलेच्या स्त्रिया असलेल्या कोर टीमच्या नेतृत्वात आहेत. सदस्यता आता प्रत्येकासाठी खुली आहे.
