2019च्या विधानसभा निवडणुकीत प्रत्येक पक्षात अनेकांना आश्चर्यकारकरीत्या उमेदवारी मिळाल्याचं चित्र आहे. लातूर जिल्ह्यातला औसा मतदारसंघ हे त्यातीलच एक उदाहरण.

औसामध्ये भारतीय जनता पक्षाने थेट मुख्यमंत्र्यांचे स्वीय सहाय्यक अभिमन्यू पवार यांना रिंगणात उतरवलं आहे. जिल्हा परिषदेचे कृषी सभापती आणि भाजप नेते बजरंग जाधव यांनी त्यांच्याविरुद्ध बंड केलं आहे.

इथले विद्यमान आमदार बसवराज पाटील काँग्रेस पक्षाचे आहेत. त्यामुळे औशात तिरंगी लढत पाहायला मिळणार आहे.

मुख्यमंत्री बनल्यानंतर देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी राज्यात एकहाती सत्ता गाजवली आहे. पक्ष वाढवण्याच्या दृष्टिकोनातून त्यांनी इतर पक्षातील मोठ्या नेत्यांनाही भाजपमध्ये प्रवेश दिला. तसंच मुख्यमंत्रिपदासाठी काही इच्छुकही गेल्या पाच वर्षात सत्ताकेंद्रापासून दूर सारले गेले.

त्यातच फडणवीस सरकारमध्ये महत्त्वाची खाती सांभाळलेल्या एकनाथ खडसे आणि विनोद तावडेंना तर या विधानसभा निवडणुकीत उमेदवारी नाकारण्यात आली. अशा स्थितीत मुख्यमंत्र्यांचे पीए अभिमन्यू पवार यांना औशामधून उमेदवारी देण्यात आल्यामुळे हा मतदारसंघ चर्चेत आला आहे.

देवेंद्र फडणवीस मुख्यमंत्री झाल्यापासून अभिमन्यू पवार त्यांचे स्वीय सहायक आहेत. ते मुख्यमंत्र्यांच्या अत्यंत जवळचे मानले जातात, असं ज्येष्ठ पत्रकार अशोक देशमुख यांनी सांगितलं. "अभिमन्यू पवार यांचे वडील दत्तात्रय पवार हे संघाचे ज्येष्ठ कार्यकर्ते आहेत. त्यांच्याप्रमाणेच अभिमन्यूही लहानपणापासून संघाचे सदस्य होते. संघाच्या प्रत्येक कार्यक्रमात त्यांचा सहभाग असायचा."

ते सांगतात, "सुरुवातीपासूनच फडणवीस यांनी अभिमन्यू पवार यांच्यावर विश्वास दाखवून त्यांना मोठी जबाबदारी दिली. भविष्यातील व्हिजन डोळ्यांसमोर ठेवून पवार यांना दोन ते तीन वर्षांपासून औशात कार्यरत ठेवले. पवार यांनी स्थानिक पातळीवरची कामं मोठ्या प्रमाणात केली. त्यामाध्यमातून मतदारांच्या मनात एक सकारात्मक प्रतिमा पवार यांनी निर्माण केली आहे."

पर्यायी मराठा नेतृत्वनिर्मिती

"अभिमन्यू पवार यांना देण्यात आलेली उमेदवारी ही फक्त एका मुख्यमंत्र्याच्या पीएला देण्यात आलेली उमेदवारी म्हणून बघण्यात येऊ नये. त्याला फडणवीस यांच्या राज्यव्यापी राजकारणाचा एक भाग म्हणू शकतो," असं राजकीय अभ्यासक आणि ज्येष्ठ पत्रकार संजीव उन्हाळे सांगतात.

उन्हाळे यांच्या मते, "पाच वर्षांपूर्वीच्या भारतीय जनता पक्षाकडे पाहिल्यास त्यांच्याकडे तावडे, दानवे आणि बागडे हे तीनच मराठा चेहरे होते. मागच्या काळात भाजपमध्ये बाहेरून अनेक मराठा नेते आले. लातूरचे पाटील-निलंगेकर कुटुंबसुद्धा मूळचं काँग्रेसचं आहे."

"पण मूळ भाजपचं असलेलं मराठा नेतृत्व फडणवीस यांना तयार करायचं आहे. मूळ भाजपचं असलेलं मराठा नेतृत्व पक्षासोबत कायम राहील. मोदी-शहा-फडणवीस यांच्या इच्छेनुसार राज्य चालवण्यासाठी अशाच नेतृत्वाची भाजपला गरज आहे. निवडून आल्यानंतर पवार यांची कॅबिनेट मंत्रिपदावर वर्णी लागली तरी आश्चर्याची बाब नाही," असं संजीव उन्हाळे सांगतात.

स्थानिक नेत्यांमध्ये नाराजी

या मतदारसंघात भाजपकडून संभाजी निलंगेकर यांचे बंधू अरविंद निलंगेकर, जिल्हा परिषद कृषी सभापती बजरंग जाधव इच्छुक होते. माजी आमदार दिनकर माने हेसुद्धा या मतदारसंघात इच्छुक होते. मात्र अभिमन्यू पवार यांची उमेदवारी जाहीर झाल्यानंतर या नेत्यांनी सुरुवातीला नाराजी दर्शवली होती. नाराज नेत्यांनी नंतर पवार यांना बिनशर्त पाठिंबा जाहीर केला. माने यांनी तर आपली संपूर्ण ताकद त्यांच्यामागे उभी केली आहे.

अभिमन्यू पवार यांच्या विरोधात जाणं स्थानिक नेत्यांना परवडणारं नाही. सरकार कोणाचं येणार हे बघूनही लोक मतदान करत असतात. त्यामुळे बंडखोरी केलेल्या बजरंग जाधव यांचा मार्ग खडतर असल्याचं देशमुख सांगतात.

शिवसेनेचा मतदारसंघ

युतीच्या पूर्वीच्या समीकरणामध्ये हा मतदारसंघ सेनेच्या वाट्याला होता. दिनकर माने हे शिवसेनेच्या तिकिटावर 1999 आणि 2004 अशा दोनवेळा निवडून आले होते. संजीव उन्हाळे सांगतात की माने निवडून येण्यामागे विलासराव देशमुख-शिवराज पाटील चाकूरकर या दोन काँग्रेस नेत्यांमधील अंतर्गत संघर्षसुद्धा कारणीभूत होता. चाकूरकर यांच्यावर कुरघोडी करण्यासाठी देशमुख यांनी माने यांना अंतर्गत स्वरूपात मदत केली होती, असं ते पुढे सांगतात.

पण 2009 मध्ये बसवराज पाटील यांनी त्यांचा पराभव केला. 2014 मध्ये युती तुटल्यानंतर याठिकाणी भारतीय जनता पक्षाने शेतकरी नेते पाशा पटेल यांना उमेदवारी दिली होती. पण त्यांचा निभाव लागू शकला नाही. या निवडणुकीत ते तिसऱ्या क्रमांकावर राहिले. 2019 लोकसभेला औशात युतीला तब्बल 53,504 मतांची आघाडी मिळाली. शिवसेना उमेदवार ओमराजे निंबाळकर 1 लाख 27 हजार 566 मतांनी विजयी झाले. त्यात सर्वांत मोठं योगदान औसा मतदारसंघाचं होतं.

"बसवराज पाटील हे लिंगायत समाजाचे नेते आहेत. ते मूळचे उस्मानाबाद तालुक्यातील उमरग्याच्या मुरूमचे रहिवासी आहेत. पाटील यांचे शिवराज पाटील चाकूरकर यांच्याशी चांगले संबंध होते. औसा मतदारसंघात लिंगायत मतदार मोठ्या संख्येने असल्याने त्यांना इथं उमेदवारी देण्यात आली होती. लिंगायत मतांच्या बळावरच पाटील यांनी 2009 आणि 2014 असं सलग दोन निवडणुकांमध्ये विजय मिळवला होता. पण ही निवडणूक त्यांच्यासाठी सोपी नाही," असं देशमुख सांगतात.

संजीव उन्हाळे सांगतात, "बजरंग जाधव यांच्यामुळे जर मराठा मतांची विभागणी झाली आणि लिंगायत मतदारांनी आपली मतं एकगठ्ठा पाटील यांच्या पारड्यात टाकली तर वेगळं चित्र पाहायला मिळू शकतं. पण अभिमन्यू पवार यांना अत्यंत विचारपूर्वक या मतदारसंघात उमेदवारी देण्यात आली आहे. संघाच्या कार्यकर्त्यांनीही स्थानिक पातळीवर प्रभावी प्रचार सुरू केला आहे. फडणवीसांच्या राजकीय इच्छाशक्तीमुळे पवार यांचं पारडं सध्यातरी जड वाटत आहे."
